However, unbeknownst to the Millennials at the time who were just wrapping up high school or college, 2008 silently shifted the economic paradigm. We now live in an era in which one's status as an employee (i.e. "having a job") no longer assures financial stability let alone financial prosperity. All across the world, in both the East and the West, the economic stakes have risen to historic highs. The key to any modicum of economic success now requires individuals to interface directly with the open marketplace as their own self-contained nodes. In other words, entrepreneurship—once a niche sector for individuals who could afford high risk tolerances—is now a requirement for survival. Consequently, there now exists a legion of financial advisors and business gurus on YouTube who herald widespread entrepreneurship as a hallmark of progress; however, a circumspect and judicious review of these circumstances yields a far more solemn assessment.
Steady progress in any aspect of human endeavor requires pre-existing infrastructure that survives across time. One can imagine how impossible any sort of meaningful human progress would be if each subsequent generation was compelled to proverbially reinvent the wheel from the stone age. This is why entrepreneurship is supposed to operate at the peripheries of an already self-perpetuating economic system—the latter provides stability, and in exchange, the former provides progress. It is simply too much for every individual to rederive all the meta of functional interface with the open market on his own, and yet, these are exactly the circumstances in which we find ourselves today.

Ultimately, all of this is to illustrate the reason why I even mention the traditional consensus between employment and entrepreneurship. That is to say, entrepreneurship, in order to maximize its chances for success, ought to enter the open market place from some kind of safe haven, because the vicissitudes of the free market are too much for an individual to handle from the outset, and sex work is no different. I cannot say with certainty whether this will remain true in the decades to come, but I can say with the utmost conviction that it is true for now in our current circumstances. There are an uncountable number of companies in the modern sex industry that promise an entire litany of benefits that come with associating yourselves with them.
